Good Luck Swimmers at the Section swim meet at Alexandria today and tomorrow.
Jingle Jar starts Tuesday, Nov. 16 and runs until Thursday, Nov. 18. Bring your spare change into your first hour class to help fund Project-Give-A-Gift. The top daily classes will get a prize daily and the top classes over all will get a grand prize.

THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY MEETING ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16 AT 3:00 SHARP IN THE LIBRARY QUIET ROOM FOR ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN BEING A SWIMMER OR MANAGER ON THIS YEAR’S SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING TEAM. TRYOUTS WILL BE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH FROM 3:00 UNTIL 6:00. MS. PRIJATEL
The National Honor Society at Melrose Area Public Schools is collecting gifts through the annual “Giving Tree” project. Students, teachers, and staff are asked to take ornaments with specific gift ideas off the tree and furnish those gifts before November 23 to the NHS. The tree will be displayed during the three lunch periods in the cafeteria and the gifts will be distributed to needy families in our community. Thanks to all who participate.
10th and 11th grade football players please sign up for individual meeting outside of Coach DeCann’s office this week.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are Monday, November 22 and Tuesday November 23 from 5:00 – 8:00 and Wednesday, Nov. 24 from 8:00 a.m. – noon. Report cards will be given to your parents at the conferences.
The German Advent Calendars have arrived and they are available for purchase. They are being sold by students who are participating in the annual Germany excursion. Quantities are limited, so purchase your calendar now. Thank you for your support.
Winter Softball Camps – Olympian Jennie Finch Camp Rochester, MN ( Grades 3-12) and or UND Fighting Sioux Softball Camp, Fargo, North Dakota for grades 6-12). Please see Coach Birch for more details and registration information Ext. 3226.
Albany schools will be sponsoring a free community theatre project for youth and adults. Auditions will be held on December 9th, for more information, see the flyer on the Community Education bulletin board.
SISTERS Club (sponsored by Girl Scouts) for girls in grades K-12, provides girls with academic support, character development and a variety of other activities. Mondays, November 15 – January 31 from 3-4 in Middle School Room 217. Free, but please register in the Community Education Office.
There will be a snowmobile safety class at Melrose High School on Saturday, Dec. 4. Cost is $8.00. If you would like to register for this class, please see Stacey in the Community Education Office. If you have already registered fro this class, please pick up your class workbook in the Community Education Office and read all material before class begins. Thank you.
